"WHERE LEUKEMIA MET IT'S MATCH!"

8th January 2004: We made it - Two years out of transplant to the day, and according to Dr. Kurtzberg, when we reached the two years, he's cured! I will update the site in the next few days when I get more time.

Days since transplant:

Sunday May 27th, 10:00 a.m Tom was diagnosed with Leukemia
(Refractory AML Type M1 - With Monosomy 7 chromosome disorder and inverted long arm in chromosome 3)

End of November 2001, 4 rounds of chemotherapy (and Mylotarg) at Manchester Royal Childrens treatment is stopped. We immediately transfer Tom ourselves to Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina, USA, for a matched sibling bone marrow tranplant under the expert care of Dr Joanne Kurtzberg.

Wherever we are we always have friends on the opposite side of the world. This site is used to try to keep everybody up to date on Toms amazing recovery from this agressive cancer.

Thanks for checking out Toms site and feel free to leave a message in his guest book using the 'Sign the Guest Book' link further down.
